2012: Look in the Mirror

Posted on 12/29/2011

I first saw this story on Yahoo yesterday morning then passed on it as I had other things to do.  Then I saw tweet and link from CU Warrior and decided to watch the videos he posted.

If you have not heard, Ben Breedlove of Austin, TX passed away on the evening of Christmas after already having cheated death three times.  After doing some quick research, Ben made two videos about  one week before he died.

This was his story and one thing really struck me as we wrap up 2011 and are about to begin 2012.

"Of this experience, he wrote: 'I then looked in the mirror, I was proud of myself of my entire life, everything I have done. It was the BEST feeling.'"

As we end an amazing year together, I am reminded by Ben that life is only a flash in the space of time.  I look forward to living life to the fullest with all of you and leaving our mark on the world together.

When we look in the mirror, it is my hope that we all say, "I am proud of what we have done."

The entire PTP NEW MEDIA Team and CU*SWAG Bunch wishes you and yours an amazing 2012.

We would love for you to share what you are going to do to make 2012 a year that you can look back on and say, "I am proud of what I have done."  Shout back below and let us know then check back in a few months to make sure you are staying true to whatever that may be.

In 2012, I am no longer going to be afraid of taking risks. I am no longer going to allow the successes and failures of others to intimidate me of following MY OWN path. I will not compare myself to others. I will stay in my lane. I will follow MY passion and enjoy every moment of growth along the way and in the end -- be proud.
